Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager Strategy Rights Advice. This position involves providing high-level strategic and policy advice on the statutory responsibilities of the Children's Commissioner to identify and address issues affecting vulnerable children whilst amplifying their voices.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of leadership in policy and data analysis in the social welfare sector, strong strategic thinking and relationship management skills supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to interact effectively with people of diverse cultures, children and young people, and government and community stakeholders is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level strategic and policy advice on the statutory responsibilities of the Children's Commissioner.
  • Analyse policy, programs and services data, funding and legislative mechanisms to determine the impact on vulnerable children.
  • Undertake research and analysis to inform the development of sound child-centred policy advice.
  • Support and provide strategic advice to the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner on issues relating to vulnerable children.

  • Leadership experience in policy and data analysis in the social welfare sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and relationship management skills.
