Faculty Research Ethics Support Coordinator Role

This role is part of the Office of Research Ethics and Integrity (OREI) team at Queensland University of Technology, promoting a high-quality research culture.

The Faculty Research Ethics Support Coordinator will play a key role in supporting researchers by providing education, guidance, and advice on research ethics, biosafety, and responsible research practices.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Education and training in human research ethics and integrity principles and processes.
  • Develop strong working relationships with researchers to foster communities of practice.
  • Provide advice on using research management systems and ideally systems that support research ethics review.
  • Promote continuous improvement in processes, systems, guidance, training, and/or advice.
  • Support researchers with minimal supervision in a collegial team environment.

Requirements:

  • Relevant education, training, or experience equivalent to a degree with four years subsequent relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in communication and collaboration skills.
  • Able to identify areas for improvement and promote change.
