The Housekeeping Professional plays a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our facility. Reporting directly to the Manager - Environmental Services, this individual is responsible for ensuring that assigned areas are consistently clean, sanitary, safe, and well-organized.

Key responsibilities include performing routine housekeeping tasks across various areas of the facility, prioritizing work based on urgency and importance, and utilizing independent judgment when addressing unusual situations. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  1. A minimum of Grade 10 education (Manitoba Standard) or equivalent qualifications
  2. Prior experience in industrial and commercial housekeeping is highly valued
  3. Strong verbal comprehension and written communication skills in English
  4. Able to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies safely, as per manufacturer instructions and facility guidelines
  5. Familiarity with basic computer software and technology
  6. An ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in response to changing circumstances
  8. Capacity to maintain confidentiality in various forms and formats
  9. Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the position
  10. A strong work record and attendance history
