Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Mathematics faculty. As the Head of Faculty, you will be responsible for crafting and maintaining a clear vision that guides the ongoing development of our curriculum, ensuring its successful implementation, and upholding the highest standards of teaching and learning for every student.

This role involves fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence among staff, providing guidance on best teaching practices, and cultivating strong relationships with colleagues and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain a clear vision for the faculty
  • Supervise the implementation of the curriculum
  • Foster professional development among staff
  • Provide guidance on teaching practices
  • Cultivate strong interpersonal relationships and partnerships
  • Lead administrative and organisational tasks
  • Engage in challenging conversations and resolve issues proactively

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strategic leadership capabilities
  • Well-developed understanding of contemporary educational issues and innovative pedagogical approaches
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships
  • High-level administrative and organisational skills
  • Capacity to engage in challenging conversations and resolve issues proactively
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current registration with the relevant institute
  • Postgraduate qualification in educational leadership or similar (desirable)
  • Proven record of success as a secondary educator with extensive knowledge in educational theory and practice
  • Robust knowledge and understanding of adolescent boys, including how choices in curricular design affect motivation and performance
