We at Prep Doctors are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Bookkeeper. As an integral member, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  2. Reconcile financial statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) in accordance with GAAP.
  4. Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  5. Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
  6. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  8. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
  9. Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  10. Recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of financial information and protect sensitive information.
  12. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position.
  • 8 hour shift.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree (Preferred).

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 2 years (Required).

Work Authorisation:

  • Australia (Required).

Work Location: In person.
