Job Overview: Provide ground maintenance services, operate gardening equipment and machinery to maintain client landscaped grounds according to site schedules and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Safety, Health, and Environment:

  • Identify hazards, develop safety procedures, and encourage HSE improvements.
  • Assist in identifying hazards, advise on safety procedures, and monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Support the Kolsen Group's corporate quality, safety, health, and environmental management systems.

Customer Relationships:

  • Communicate with internal and external customers to plan work, inform of progress, resolve issues, and identify variations or additional work.

Operational Performance:

  • Chemical spraying, pulling weeds, and clearing areas of debris.
  • Operate spraying equipment to control weeds, pests, and insects.
  • Place temporary warning signs when required.
  • Perform tasks to minimize inconvenience to customers, staff, and the public.
  • Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and SNT operating procedures.
  • Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor.
  • Understand and comply with quality, safety, health, and environmental policies.
  • Follow written instructions, verbal direction, and procedures to perform work.
  • Challenge instructions that may pose a risk to people or the environment.

  • Maintain high levels of communication and cooperative working relationships with all parties.

Other:

  • Undertake tasks to support project or business operations as required.
  • Adhere to the Direction, Competence, Opportunity, and Motivation (D-COM) principles.

Selection Criteria:

Essentials:

  • Class C Driver's Licence (manual).
  • Work under limited supervision in individual or team environments.
  • Satisfactory National Police Security Check Report.
  • Be physically able to perform duties of the position.
  • Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors.

Desirable:

  • Chem Certificate or ability to obtain.
  • Knowledge of pest and weed control.
  • Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture.
  • OCHRE Card (or be willing to obtain).
  • Construction Industry White Card (or be willing to obtain).
