Underground Mining Leadership Role

This position involves leading a team of underground mining professionals. Key responsibilities include fostering a proactive, safety-first culture aligned with our Safety Management System.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A strong underground planning background
  • Technical proficiency in mining various types (width and orientation) orebodies
  • Effective communication skills with junior engineers, technical services department (geology and geotechnical), support services including underground fixed plant maintenance teams, mill / metallurgy teams, other department superintendents and managers, operations teams including operators, shift bosses and foremen

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing appropriate tools, resources, and supervision for safe task execution
  • Conducting regular inspections, audits, and field leadership engagements
  • Ensuring all team members are properly trained and supported
  • Leading operational planning and execution to meet underground production targets

The successful candidate will have:

  • A WA First Class Manager's Certificate
  • Proficiency in scheduling and drill and blast
  • Highly proficient Deswik user
