We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our nursing team as an Infection Prevention and Control Coordinator. This role will involve leading the implementation of infection prevention and control practices and strategies to protect patients, staff, and visitors from acquiring healthcare-associated infections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure a healthy working environment for all staff.
Requirements:
- Current authority to practice as a registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant health professional qualification and experience, demonstrating a high level of clinical nursing knowledge and skill in acute care nursing.
- Exercises professional knowledge in providing complex care and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
