Agricultural Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Technician to join our team at Australian Country Choice. As an Agricultural Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, nutrition, and welfare of our animals at all times.

• Receiving and inducting animals into our feedlot facilities
• Monitoring animal health and identifying potential issues
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of animal movements, treatment, and processes
• Administering medication to sick animals in consultation with veterinary staff
• Performing general repairs and maintenance of equipment
• Operating heavy machinery, including front-end loaders, feed trucks, and skid steers
• Safely and effectively undertaking pen riding on horseback
• Delivering feed to animals using modern machinery

• AQF Advanced Diploma or equivalent, or 3 years of experience in a related field
• Proven experience handling cattle and managing livestock
• Competency in safely handling and riding horses
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate machinery, plant, and equipment
• Ability to accurately and promptly identify potential animal health issues
• Ability to undertake animal health procedures and safely administer treatment and medication
• Sound numeracy and literacy skills
• Appreciation of quality and compliance processes, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Sound computer literacy and keyboard skills
