Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our team at Bodington, our 120-bed home located in the beautiful surroundings of Wentworth Falls.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a permanent part-time capacity across various shifts, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts. As a Personal Care Assistant with Catholic Healthcare, you will be part of a dynamic and growing not-for-profit organization that values its employees.

In this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents by providing high-quality care and support. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care activities, such as showering and dressing
  • Supporting residents with daily tasks, such as eating and social activities
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to ensure adherence to care and medication plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to a multidisciplinary team to optimize resident health and well-being
  • Providing exceptional service to families and the community

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with diverse individuals
  • A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care to older adults
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
  • NDS screening check or willingness to obtain
