Job Description

You will be responsible for delivering personalized, empathetic services to workers, employers and treating health practitioners. This role is a stepping stone towards the RTWS position and manages a portfolio comprised of both Corporate and Commercial medical expense claims.

This involves managing a portfolio of claims ensuring appropriate risk assessments are carried out, escalating claims to a Return to Work Specialist if required within agreed timeframes, maintaining knowledge of relevant legislation or changes to ensure accurate claim advice is provided, providing effective and efficient claims administration, and facilitating and monitoring cost management strategies on claims to ensure cost effectiveness for the purpose of sustainability of the scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of claims ensuring appropriate risk assessments are carried out.
  • Escalate claims to a Return to Work Specialist if required within agreed timeframes.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant legislation or changes to ensure accurate claim advice is provided.
  • Provide effective and efficient claims administration to ensure that injured workers receive fair and accurate compensation in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Facilitate and monitor cost management strategies on claims to ensure cost effectiveness for the purpose of sustainability of the scheme.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Recent or previous work experience in Workers Compensation and/or Claims Management.
  • Experience in the Allied Health or Job Placement industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Return to Work Act and its application.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills as well as a team player attitude.
  • Demonstrated high levels of autonomy with a learning mindset.
