Flexible Casual Role for Education Support Graduates

Casual roles are available for Certificate III and IV Education Support graduates/Teacher's Aides. This is a rewarding and flexible role that can be tailored to fit around your school hours work commitments.

We have an urgent need to fill this role to cover existing clients in the Newcastle/Upper Lake Macquarie area.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting students with learning life skills in literacy and numeracy to transition into employment or tertiary studies
  • Providing one-to-one coaching in literacy and numeracy covering school English and Maths using special needs teaching techniques learned at TAFE
  • Working with students who have some level of special needs covered by your qualification
  • Using tools provided to create in-class materials for students to practice concepts and automatically marking work given to them

Requirements:

  • Education Support qualification (Certificate III and IV)
  • Prior experience working in a support role with persons who have special needs
  • Access to a vehicle (reimbursement provided for km travelled)
