Environmental Cleaner

About this Position:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors, and cupboards
- Cleaning and sanitizing toilet facilities and sick bays
- Maintaining equipment
- Controlling cobwebs and mildew using extendable equipment as necessary
- Cleaning concrete, bitumen, asphalt, and paved surfaces
- Disposing of rubbish and controlling litter, including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings
- Dusting student and office furniture, equipment, and fans
- Hosing
- Removing graffiti
- Sweeping and vacuuming
- Maintaining vinyl/timber floors, including buffing, stripping, and polishing
- Performing other cleaning duties as directed by management
Additional Responsibilities:
- Activating and disarming security systems as required
- Securing buildings
- Liaising with management concerning purchase and/or replacement of cleaning materials
- Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to management or facilities staff
- Referring members of the public to relevant personnel as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- A current Working with Children Clearance (blue card) issued by Blue Card Services when working in regulated employment
