About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Psychiatric Emergency Care team at Latrobe Regional Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide advanced nursing practice in the Emergency Department, focusing on specialist AOD screening, assessment, treatment, and referral.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-based AOD interventions
  • Provide education and training to emergency department staff to enhance their capacity in AOD screening, assessment, treatment, and referral
  • Coordinate services and develop integrated referral pathways with AOD providers and other external services
  • Develop strategies to improve the 4-hour NEAT for AOD presentations
  • Establish a secondary AOD consultation program for sub-regional emergency departments across Gippsland
