We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team in Nowra, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and certifying life support equipment, as well as delivering instruction on the operation of personal flying gear.

This role is for a technician level with the opportunity of advancement to Maintenance Certifier (Supervisor) with demonstrated competence and aptitude.

The team operates on a rotating shift pattern of day and afternoon shifts. Afternoon shifts attract an additional shift loading allowance.

Rates are paid in accordance with the relevant trades enterprise agreement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and certify life support equipment according to approved procedures.
  • Manufacture, inspect, repair, test and fit aeronautical life support equipment and textile components.
  • Procure, package, store and identify safety and life support equipment.
  • Handle and inspect explosive ordnance and rescue pyrotechnics.
  • Deliver instruction on the operation of personal flying gear.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing - MEA30318 (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a military rotary operational environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience as a Maintenance Certifier would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to work on a rotating shift pattern.
