Job Overview:

The Head of Science is a leadership position responsible for driving excellence in teaching and learning within the science faculty.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To lead and inspire the science faculty to achieve exceptional results in teaching and learning.
  • To develop and implement high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs that cater to diverse student needs.
  • To build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams within the faculty.
  • To maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience with a proven track record of initiating improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
