Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, implement and manage clustered infrastructure on Linux operating systems.
  • Administer Splunk applications, developing new features or extending existing ones to meet specialized requirements.
  • Design and implement data ingestion, parsing and indexing strategies for optimal performance and availability of Splunk repositories.
  • Collaborate with teams to customize searches, reports and dashboards, and configure Splunk according to their needs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation detailing architecture components, configurations, monitoring and alerting setup, troubleshooting guides and checklists.
  • Implement and maintain security controls and data protection measures in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration and a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Certification in Security+ and one of the following certifications: Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator or Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Administrator.
  • Experience in performing system administration tasks in a Linux environment using Splunk.
  • Detailed knowledge of Linux system administration and strong understanding of network protocols, security frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and conceptualize server infrastructures and configurations.
