Bakery Operations Manager

We are seeking an Operations Leader to oversee the day-to-day management of our bakery operations.
This is a leadership position within a fast-growing bakery with a strong brand and innovative culture. As Operations Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all operational aspects of the business including warehousing, logistics, and production
- Develop and implement cost-saving measures to ensure financial targets are met
- Implement and communicate production schedules to staff
- Drive process improvement and development across the business
- Manage quality control and assurance processes
- Recruit, manage, and develop staff to achieve business objectives
- Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Work closely with technical departments to troubleshoot issues
- Procure materials and negotiate with suppliers
- Develop new products and maintain relationships with internal and external auditors
About the Role
This is a senior leadership role that requires a high level of autonomy and decision-making capability. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading a team and driving business growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role or running a mid-sized bakery
- Previous manufacturing and production experience desired
- Self-motivation, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Leadership and people management skills
- Proven track record of leading a bakery or hospitality team
- Experience with HACCP and GMP programs and Australian Food Safety standards
- Financial and commercial acumen
