Senior Asset Accountant Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Asset Accountant to join our team at our Brisbane office.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in asset accounting to take on a senior role within our team. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining fixed asset registers, performing balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, preparing tax depreciation schedules, consulting with clients on fixed asset practices and policies, developing and enhancing client procedures, contributing to proposals and tenders, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance and work health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fixed Asset Management: Develop, implement, and maintain effective fixed asset management systems, including fixed asset registers, depreciation schedules, and asset valuations.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and other data to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Client Communication: Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and enhance client procedures to ensure best practice is applied, and ensure all staff are trained and competent in these procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is performed to high standards, adhering to quality assurance and work health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary Qualification: A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as accounting, finance, or business.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience in asset accounting or a related area.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), excellent numerical, verbal, and written communication skills, a professional attitude with exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, and a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow professionally.
  • Citizenship: Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
