Production Operator Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operator to operate production lines and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with company specifications, operational and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong focus on quality and safety, with ability to work as part of an effective team. Proactive and positive attitude, with ability to deliver high-quality work is required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate production lines and associated equipment to meet company requirements;
  • Maintain hygiene standards of production lines and factory areas;
  • Minimise wastage including product, ingredients, packaging, process inputs, time and chemicals;
  • Report excessive wastage, defective products and equipment malfunction;
  • Isolate and identify defective product;
  • Meet required production schedules;
  • Provide product samples for quality assurance testing, according to instructions;
  • Ancillary duties related to cleaning and maintenance of equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in machine or process operation, preferably in the dairy or food industry;
  • Fault finding/troubleshooting skills;
  • Solid understanding of GMP and HACCP principles;
  • A working knowledge of SAP is desirable but not essential;
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Qualification in food processing is desirable but not essential;
  • Ability to work shift work, overtime and weekends as required.
