Job Overview

The Operations Centre Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless service delivery.

This includes supporting senior management in developing and implementing operational reforms and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the efficient provision of frontline operational services, overseeing logistics, human resources, communications systems, and workplace health and safety.
  • Supervise telephone call taking and dispatch performance, adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Strategically deploy operational resources to meet community needs, collaborating with Clinical Deployment Supervisors.
  • Provide guidance and support during emergency and routine incidents, offering first aid instructions when required.
  • Monitor patient transport services, aero-medical coordination, and clinical coordination.
  • Operate communications systems and ancillary equipment according to procedures.
  • Contribute to the professional development of Emergency Medical Dispatchers, aligning with QAS education standards and priorities.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting quality client service and staff well-being.
  • Develop recommendations for enhancing operational policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports for senior managers as needed.
  • Lead staff during emergencies, major incidents, and mass gatherings, consulting with State Headquarters.
  • Maintain certification and adhere to QAS values.
