Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional person-centered care to our residents.

Your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will ensure that each resident receives the highest standard of care tailored to their individual needs.

You will lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive care plans, ensuring they reflect the unique needs and preferences of each resident.

In addition, you will utilize advanced clinical assessment skills to provide high-quality nursing services, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.

Building meaningful relationships with residents is crucial in this role, as you will become a trusted and integral part of their daily lives.

Collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team is essential to ensure care plans align with individual goals and enhance quality of life.

You will also act as a liaison between residents, families, and health professionals, advocating for residents' rights and preferences.

A strong focus on teamwork and supervision is required, as you will provide guidance and support to other Nurses and Care Workers, fostering a collaborative and cohesive team environment.

Holistic care practices are applied, using critical thinking and evidence-based practices to deliver comprehensive care addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.

Maintenance of regulatory compliance is necessary, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, standards, and facility policies.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree with current registration (AHPRA)
  • Adaptability, empathy, resourcefulness, time management skills, and alignment with Uniting's values
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
  • Empathy, resilience, and genuine passion for enhancing the lives of older residents
