Cultivating partnerships with local First Nations staff and leaders is crucial in understanding their aspirations and perspectives on First Nations data, research, and evaluation sovereignty.

We seek a highly skilled and passionate individual to join our Research & Evaluation team, who will contribute to evidence-based decision-making and advocacy for system change externally.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in research and evaluation methods, with a strong focus on First Nations data, research, and evaluation sovereignty. They will be well-versed in developing and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and research approaches.

The role will involve contributing to leading practice in First Nations data, research, and evaluation sovereignty, as well as supporting the growth of Children's Ground Research & Development.

The ideal candidate will have excellent MS programs skills, collaborative abilities, and a willingness to work closely with R&E teams in each region to achieve common goals.

This position requires a strategic thinker who can design and implement monitoring, evaluation, and research approaches to inform Children's Ground systems and service reform frameworks.

About You

We are seeking a qualified professional with relevant degree/qualification in research &/or evaluation. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in undertaking literature reviews and evidence scans, with a good knowledge of evaluation and research approaches.

A strong track record of report writing and effective communication skills are essential for this role. Additionally, the ability to work independently and as part of a team is critical.

  • Develop and implement monitoring, evaluation, and research approaches to inform Children's Ground systems and service reform frameworks.
  • Contribute to leading practice in First Nations data, research, and evaluation sovereignty.
  • Support the growth of Children's Ground Research & Development.
  • Design and lead projects to benchmark Children's Ground research and evaluation against national and international leading practices.

About the Role

This role will work closely with R&E teams in each region to document the views and perspectives of local First Nations staff about First Nations data, research, and evaluation sovereignty and standards.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to systems reform submissions and publications, as well as develop and maintain an internal register of strategic research priorities for Children's Ground.

They will also be responsible for identifying research grant opportunities to fund internal strategic and community research projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
