Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide domain-level strategic data architecture guidance and governance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, championing data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead and influence change, embedding good data practices across the organisation.
  • Support projects with authoritative advice and pragmatic solutions.
  • Mentor and coach team members, building data capability and resilience.
  • Own and maintain architectural artefacts, frameworks, and principles.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and identify opportunities to deliver business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data architecture leadership, including designing and governing large-scale data models and applying enterprise architecture techniques.
  • Familiarity across modern platforms such as Azure, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, including negotiating outcomes and positively influencing business relationships.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the domain, combined with relevant professional certification or equivalent professional knowledge related to the domain.

Your Success in this Role:

  • Experience leading complex programs and working within large end-user organisations or those with complex technology architectures or infrastructure.
  • Developing and presenting strategic domain/technology guidance to various stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology, business, or computer science and/or equivalent knowledge gained through a similar role.
