As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will apply your clinical reasoning skills to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. This unique role offers truly meaningful and purposeful rewards.
The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing. Assessments may include functional capacity evaluations, worksite assessments, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
A key aspect of this role is collaboration with stakeholders including employees who have suffered injury, illness, or trauma, medical specialists, other treatment providers, and allied health professionals.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop rehabilitation plans that meet individual needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans in consultation with relevant parties
This position offers service delivery outcomes-based KPIs rather than billable hours. We place a genuine focus on person-centred goal setting.
Your working hours will be set, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. You will enjoy early starts and early finishes: 7:30am – 15:30 Monday to Friday. Your location will be on base at Robertson Barracks.
Join our organisation and receive ongoing support and mentoring through direct interaction and extensive onboarding. This includes ongoing shadowing to build your technical knowledge and expertise.
We are part of a diverse team of almost 15,000 people across 11 countries with a shared purpose – to enable better lives for our employees and the communities we work in. Our work enables individuals to achieve their ambitions and aspirations through sustainable employment, independence, better health and wellbeing, and increased social participation.
You will have access to all the benefits of being part of a global conglomerate, including discount gym memberships and health insurance as well as discounts at hundreds of retail outlets.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW)
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy, or Social Work
- Australian Citizenship
- Strong clinical reasoning skills
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of common goals
- Passion for helping people rehabilitate
- OCCUPATIONAL REHABILITATION EXPERIENCE WILL BE HIGHLY REGARDED
We welcome applications from all people, including those from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, living with disability, all gender identities, LGBTQIA+, people of any socioeconomic status, of any age, race, national origin, or ethnicity. Each person's uniqueness makes us even better at the work we do.
