Job Title: Coordinator - Safe at Home Initiative

This position is a key role within our organization, situated in the Pilbara region. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to lead the creation and implementation of a new initiative focused on providing safe and supportive environments for women and children.

The successful candidate will work closely with local stakeholders, including the Hedland Aboriginal Strong Leaders Collective (the Elders), to develop and implement this initiative. The purpose of this position is to contribute to:

  1. ">
  2. Women and children being safe and supported to recover and improve their wellbeing">
  3. Women with or without children being supported to remain in their homes or the home of their choice, where it is safe to do so">
  4. Women and children being linked to services that address their expressed needs">
">

Key Selection Criteria:

">
  • ">
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families">
  • An appropriate qualification in human services, social work, or equivalent experience and skills. Aboriginal people with relevant life and professional experience will also be considered">
  • Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders and work between different organizations">
  • Strong knowledge of family and domestic violence frameworks and practice">
  • Extensive experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families, with a trauma-informed approach">

  • $5,000 remote allowance for all employees in the Pilbara region">
  • Hourly rate of $58.23 to $60.66, based on qualification and experience, as per SCHADS Award Level 7">
