About this Role

Pact Group is engaged by various councils and clients to perform essential maintenance on their MGB fleet. This role encompasses tasks such as distributing new bins, replacing damaged units, retrieving unwanted or stolen bins, installing or replacing stands, and repairing components on bins. The MGB Service Technician is responsible for completing all assigned tasks via electronic handheld devices (or equivalent) within the designated KPIs each day, ensuring customer satisfaction. Each task must be documented, and the device returned daily with appropriate notes explaining any incomplete or varied tasks from the original instructions. All activities must comply with company guidelines, work instructions, and relevant laws. Any accidents, whether involving personnel or property, must be reported to the supervisor immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

· Adhere to all written and verbal procedures and work instructions, particularly regarding safety protocols.

· Attend each location and complete tasks as per job allocation, paying close attention to any provided instructions. Tasks must be executed within the specified KPI timeframe.

· Document the status of each completed task on the device, noting parts used, status, and comments where necessary.

· Reach out to the Field Maintenance Administrator for any job-related queries.

· Ensure all tasks assigned by Pact Group are completed accurately and returned daily, including marking incomplete tasks as "futile" with a photo confirming the inability to complete.

· Report any issues encountered during the day to the Field Maintenance Administrator. Accidents must be reported to the supervisor immediately.

· Prepare and load the vehicle for work each day according to the issued jobs.

· Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, both internally and externally.

· Conduct weekly checks of all fluid levels in the vehicle.

· Perform a daily pre-start checklist for the vehicles operated.

· Report any mechanical or other issues with the truck as they arise.

· Ensure the vehicle is serviced at the appropriate intervals and that tyres are maintained at a safe/legal level.

· Consistently adhere to OH&S requirements, including safe work practices and driving protocols.

· Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor within your capabilities.

While this position does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities, the role may take on a supervisory position when two individuals are required to perform specific tasks as outlined in any risk assessment.

Required Skills and Experience:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

· Completion of Year 10 and/or Certificate II or equivalent experience.

· A forklift license is preferred but not mandatory.

· A valid driver's license and a proven good driving record.

Language Proficiency:

· Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

· Capability to write simple correspondence in English.

· Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in English.

Mathematical Proficiency:

· Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Skills:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
