About the Role
The FMS Technician will be responsible for completing in-field maintenance tasks for the MGB fleet, including distributing new bins, replacing damaged bins, and removing unwanted or stolen bins. The role requires the FMS Technician to complete all jobs as assigned via electronic handheld devices within the required KPIs each day.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all written and verbal procedures and work instructions, adhering to all safety aspects.
- Attend each address and complete tasks as per the job allocation, paying attention to any instructions supplied.
- Record status of each task completed on the device, noting the parts used, status, and comment where applicable.
- Contact Field Maintenance Administrator as required for queries on jobs.
- Complete all tasks issued by SULO correctly and return daily, including incomplete tasks marked as "futile" with a photograph attached.
- Report any issues that may have occurred during the day to the Field Maintenance Administrator, and accidents must be reported immediately to the supervisor.
- Prepare and load truck for work each day as per jobs issued.
- Keep vehicle always clean internally and externally.
- Check all fluid levels in vehicle weekly.
- Undertake a daily prestart checklist for the vehicles being driven.
- Report any mechanical or other problems associated with the truck as they occur.
- Ensure the vehicle is serviced at the appropriate time and that tyres are always at a safe/legal level.
- Always adhere to OH&S requirements, including safe work practices and safe driving practices.
- Other duties as required by Supervisor within your capabilities.
