We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our KinCare team in the Canberra area. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food.
  • Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of relief and comfort.
  • Provide social support and transport to appointments, ensuring our customers can access essential services.
  • Work with customers who have complex care needs, such as dementia, to provide tailored support and care.

Requirements:

  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel to customers' homes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and their families.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What to Expect:

Before joining our team, we will perform a National Police Check/Right to Work, functional fitness assessment on your behalf, as well as confirming evidence of COVID vaccination.
