About this Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Naval Consultant to lead complex projects across the maritime domain.

This role involves working closely with clients, providing expert guidance and support business development efforts, and helping grow our presence in Australasia.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver naval advisory projects that meet quality system requirements.
  • Engage with senior defence and industry stakeholders on high-impact projects.
  • Identify and win new naval advisory work by building enduring relationships with clients.
  • Work with sales and delivery teams to promote our Advisory capability in Naval business.
  • Support leadership in developing the Naval business within a business area.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor developments within the naval sector.
  • Represent us, contributing to industry forums and supporting our reputation as a trusted advisor in the naval domain.
  • Manage and develop the team to maintain an effective and competitive service.

Key Requirements

  • Eligible for security clearance from the Australian Department of Defence.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely-related discipline.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the naval sector.
  • Extensive professional experience in naval marine engineering and consulting.
  • Membership in relevant professional institutions and continuous professional development.
  • A proven track record in technical advisory, ideally in a commercial setting.
  • Demonstrated business development and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
