Meat Inspector Trainee Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Meat Inspector Trainee to join our team in regional Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting animal carcasses, meat and meat products to ensure compliance with government and industry standards. They will also be required to undertake and successfully graduate from a Certificate 4 in Meat Safety Inspection.

  • Inspect animal carcasses, meat and meat products to ensure compliance with government and industry standards
  • Undertake and successfully graduate from a Certificate 4 in Meat Safety Inspection

The ideal candidate will have a strong eagerness to learn, be reliable and able to work within a team or individual environment with reporting protocols. They must also be physically fit and happy to get a pre-employment medical, have the mental strength and the ability to constantly focus on the task at hand, and be able to pass a national police check.

Previous experience in any of the following would be an advantage: background or previous training in a related field, knife skills including sharpening, boning or slicing, experience in meat processing, butchery or small good making.
