Job Summary: We are seeking an Academic in Medical Anthropology to join our team at the Australian National University.

About the Role: As a Lecturer in Medical Anthropology, you will have the opportunity to work within a collaborative and interdisciplinary team with world-class researchers and educators in one of the top anthropology departments globally. You will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to both Anthropology programs, as well as interdisciplinary programs focused on medicine and planetary futures.

Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching medical anthropology courses to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Conducting research in medical anthropology and publishing your findings in reputable academic journals
  • Developing and delivering curriculum in medical anthropology and related fields
  • Mentoring students and advising them on their research projects

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Medical Anthropology or a related field
  • Experience in teaching and research in medical anthropology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong publication record and potential for future research contributions
