Job Description

This exciting opportunity seeks a highly motivated and collaborative academic to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biological Anthropology with a specialisation in Bioarchaeology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering existing courses in skeletal analysis, ancient health and disease, forensic anthropology, and advanced bioarchaeology, as well as developing new interdisciplinary courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

In addition, the candidate will conduct cutting-edge and internationally recognised research in biological anthropology focusing on health and disease of past populations, with a track record of active research and publication that focuses on regions of the Global South.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • PhD in Biological Anthropology or a related field
  • Excellent research and teaching skills
  • Ability to develop new courses and programs
  • Experience in supervising honours, masters, and PhD students
