We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Workplace Relations Expert to join our team at Woolworths Group.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level professional with a strong understanding of employment laws and employee relations issues to lead our workplace relations function. As a Strategic Workplace Relations Expert, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice, guidance, and support on all matters connected to industrial and workplace relations across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end enterprise bargaining process to ensure high-quality agreements that align with business objectives and values.
  • Advise and influence business stakeholders on diverse range of matters relating to workforce compliance, employment conditions, and complex workplace relations issues.
  • Contribute to designing innovative solutions in response to risk issues and identify organisational risks and opportunities for process and system changes.
  • Establish strong working relationships with unions, employee representatives, and key business stakeholders to positively influence business decisions and enhance existing workforce processes and practices.
  • Be a subject matter expert on Woolworths Group enterprise agreements, competitor agreements, and industry trends.
  • SUPPORT AND ASSIST WITH CASES AND MATTERS BEFORE THE FAIR WORK COMMISSION WHERE REQUIRED, INCLUDING BARGAINING DISPUTES AND OTHER INDUSTRIAL DISPUTES.
What You'll Bring
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in workplace relations with a deep understanding of employment laws and employee relations issues.
  • Negotiated multiple enterprise agreements (ideally covering a large workforce) and played a lead role in bargaining and execution.
  • An excellent understanding of the Fair Work Act and Fair Work Commission practice and procedure.
  • A proven ability to balance legal/compliance issues with commercial business needs and practical implications.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiating skills with the ability to translate complex legal issues into straightforward language.
Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 per annumLocation: Australia or New ZealandJoin Our Team
