Job Opportunity: Chief Commercial Officer

We seek a seasoned and energetic leader with proven commercial acumen to join our joint venture in Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your career within a vibrant delivery team that partners with a blue-chip government client to deliver world-class water services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a large team comprising contracts management, finance and project controls
  • JV Board Secretariat
  • Member of the JV Senior Leadership Team (effectively 2IC to the Program Director)
  • Overseeing program-wide time and cost control, monthly forecasting and preparation of monthly reporting
  • Using commercial negotiation skills to successfully resolve contractual issues
  • Proactively responding to changes in client needs and expectations and developing collaborative relationships formed on trust.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, commercial law, construction management, business management, engineering or a related discipline
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major project / program commercial requirements based on firsthand experience working for a large construction contractor
  • Sound knowledge in the application of the NEC4 suite of contracts an advantage
  • Firsthand experience with joint venture enterprises an advantage
  • Ability to apply various techniques to seek constructive outcomes to contract negotiations, including ability to influence others and defend commercial positions.
