Executive Leadership Opportunity

Lead a pioneering science publisher with an international reputation. Drive strategic growth and long-term sustainability.

Inspire a high-performing team to deliver exceptional results. As Executive, you will shape business strategy, lead transformation to open access publishing, and implement key financial and commissioning initiatives.

You'll oversee commercial performance, foster innovation and continuous improvement, and engage with stakeholders to position the publisher as a leader in science communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership – Set and deliver business strategy, identify opportunities, manage risk, and secure resources to achieve long-term goals.
  • Publishing transformation – Transition scholarly journals to open access and develop a financially viable commissioning strategy for books.
  • Commercial management – Manage revenue streams and expand market opportunities.
  • Team leadership – Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a values-based culture.
  • Stakeholder engagement – Build strong relationships across the publishing ecosystem.

Requirements:

  • Proven senior publishing leadership, strong commercial acumen, success in transformational change, and experience managing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of digital publishing technologies and relevant tertiary qualifications are essential; experience in scientific or not-for-profit environments is desirable.
