At Transport for NSW, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Transport Access Manager to lead our Information Access team.

About the Role

We are a dynamic organization that connects people, communities, and industry every day. As a Transport Access Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring effective decision-making and management of access applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

This role requires a high level of leadership, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills to assist the NSW community. You will also be responsible for managing requests from agencies exercising a statutory power of demand.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of GIPA and privacy legislation and compliance requirements, including managing risk combined with extensive knowledge of related legal development and case law.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with experience in dealing efficiently and tactfully and negotiating effectively with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining a strong customer service approach.
  • Able to provide advice and assistance to senior management and staff on GIPA and privacy matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team, managing the allocation of work, producing consistently high-quality decisions, and meeting strict deadlines in a high-volume work environment.

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
