Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Information Access team at Transport for NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing access applications under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the Information Access team to ensure effective decision-making and management of access applications.
  • Managing requests from agencies exercising a statutory power of demand.

In addition, the successful candidate will possess:

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of GIPA and privacy legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of related legal development and case law.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and maintain a strong customer service approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team, managing work allocation, producing high-quality decisions, and meeting strict deadlines in a high-volume work environment.
