Job Description

The classroom teacher plays a key role in facilitating effective learning and teaching. As an effective member of a collaborative team, your primary focus is on putting student learning and wellbeing first.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a specialist language teacher with demonstrated expertise in the classroom.
  • Align practice with a whole-school Positive Behaviour for Learning model of student support.
  • Mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge.
  • Informed understanding of inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to staff professional culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Appropriate qualifications.
  • Ability to teach Religious Education (RE) is an advantage.
  • Must hold a relevant Working with Children registration and Teaching Accreditation.
  • Must have completed relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification.
  • Must meet requirements to teach Religious Education according to Work, Teach and Lead Policy.
