Procurement and Contracts Management Position

This is an opportunity to lead a team in managing procurement and contracts. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing and reviewing policies and strategies.

  • Developing, implementing and reviewing procurement and contract management policies and strategies.
  • Leading tendering, contract administration, and supplier engagement activities.
  • Managing performance indicators and identifying cost-saving initiatives.
  • Coaching staff in procurement best practices.
  • Overseeing stores and inventory control processes.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in procurement, business or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in procurement, tendering and contract management.
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures and category management plans.
  • Understanding of probity, compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Local government experience is desirable.
