Agricultural Compliance Specialist

This role involves acting as an Authorised Officer, working collaboratively with the Community Safety & Regulation Team to implement and administer policies related to domestic animals and livestock.
The municipality covers a large area, including beaches, trails, and 40,000 registered domestic animals. You will be part of a team delivering one of the largest Animal Management Programs in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and respond to customer service requests related to domestic animals and livestock.
- Conduct complex investigations, seize and impound domestic animals and livestock, and work collaboratively with state agencies in emergency response situations.
- Patrol the municipality to enforce state legislation and local dog control orders, following up with enforcement action when necessary.
- Participate in the emergency on-call roster providing 24-hour service to the community.
To be successful in this role, you will be a resilient and customer-focused team player who is able to work autonomously and communicate effectively with diverse people.
You should have relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV Government - Statutory Compliance and/or Certificate IV Animal Control and Regulation, or other tertiary qualifications recognised by regulatory bodies.
