Job Title:

Senior Backend Software Engineer: Expert in Edge Computing
  • Develop and lead technical initiatives to improve the edge platform's reliability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to define solutions and drive improvements to engineering processes and platform health metrics.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with major edge providers such as Cloudflare, Fastly, or Akamai, and a strong understanding of DNS, Firewall, Security, Load Balancing, CDN, and Edge Computing. They should be proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement core components of the edge platform, including worker frameworks, infrastructure automation, and observability tooling. Lead initiatives to improve system reliability, performance, and security, with significant ownership of services or components. Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders to define high-impact solutions, balancing thoroughness and timely delivery. Investigate and resolve complex operational incidents, and contribute to post-incident learning and prevention.
