Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at a leading regional food company across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific. The Shift Maintenance Electrician will work closely with maintenance fitters and operators to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.

About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility. This will include high-level technical and diagnostic skills, including fault finding of electrical circuits and PLC programs.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance tasks on plant and equipment
  • Demonstrating and promoting safe work practices
  • Participating in the repairs and preventive maintenance of all site plant and equipment
  • Assisting with other duties to ensure the effective operation of the maintenance team
  • Identifying and resolving equipment reliability and improvement opportunities
  • Working closely with operations personnel to ensure that reliability and safety issues are dealt with in an effective and timely manner
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • An Electrical Trade Certificate/License (NSW)
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG or the Food manufacturing industry
  • SCADA and PLC Knowledge essential (Allan Bradley and Siemens desirable)
  • Processed-based risk assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills - listening, verbal and written
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safety, health and the environment
  • Diagnostics and fault finding on PLC's, VSD's, HMI's, robotics, instruments and sensors
  • Installation of electrical power, control and automation systems
