Process Control Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team in Western Australia.

This role involves working closely with control system and instrument engineers to plan, troubleshoot, and implement control modifications. The successful candidate will have experience with Advanced Process Control applications using Aspen DMC3 and be able to propose improvements to control strategy or operation strategy to effect improvements in efficiency and/or production.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and relevant process engineering or controls engineering experience. They should also have experience participating in HAZOP, SOA / LOPA and be familiar with Yokogawa Centum VP or other control systems.

Requirements
  • A strong understanding of process control systems and the ability to apply this knowledge to improve plant operation.
  • Experience with coding and data analytics is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting logic problems and identifying field device issues.
  • Familiarity with MOC and Automation Change Request processes.
  • An engineering mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with operations teams.
