Job Title

The Clinical Nurse Educator is a vital role in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

This position involves coordinating, delivering, and evaluating clinical nurse education at the ward/unit level, including orientation and transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses, as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff.

As a key member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will manage patients with acute, chronic, and Gastroenterology care needs. You will have opportunities to develop your skills in teaching and learning, clinical supervision, and competency attainment and assessment.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant authority
  • Relevant clinical or education post-registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in the field
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of teaching and learning in the healthcare environment (adult learning principles)
