About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Procurement professional to join our team at Australian Payments Plus. As an IT Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of IT assets and services that support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Procurement Management: Perform IT procurement activities such as sourcing, quotations, price negotiation, purchase order processing, ordering, tracking, delivery, and reporting.
  • Contract Management: Administer maintenance and support agreements across multiple vendors, manage contracts to ensure compliance with organisational requirements, and provide operational support and advice in relation to IT contract management.
  • Asset Management: Maintain current, accurate, and complete data holdings for IT assets using automated tools (e.g. ServiceNow) and manual processes, assist with license reconciliations/baselines, and guide, assist, and provide advice to team members in managing IT assets across the lifecycle, from receipt to disposal.
  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain a preferred vendor database and ensure information is available to stakeholders, develop and maintain strong relationships with a range of vendors, and support rationalisation of vendor selection when required.
  • Process and Reporting: Document processes and procedures, identify and deliver improvements, assist in monitoring and assessing process metrics and KPIs, produce monthly reports on procurement and IT assets, develop and maintain a reporting system for supplier performance, and provide regular input into key performance metrics setting and performance review.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to liaise with vendors and across multiple levels of the organisation, including interaction with senior leaders, business stakeholders, and team members.
  • Experience in IT procurement and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IT hardware and software asset management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience gathering and transforming data, compiling information, and preparing reports.
  • Energy, organisation, and highly developed time management skills, with an ability to juggle multiple tasks to deadlines.
  • Ability to make sound administrative and procedural decisions and judgements aligned with agreed objectives.
  • Experience with Service Now – including ITAM for both SAM and HAM, CMDB.
