About the Role

The Assistant Principal Hearing (itinerant) is responsible for an administrative/teaching caseload within the Yass and Goulburn Network schools. The successful candidate will have expertise in or willingness to train in Auslan and assistive communication systems, and demonstrated experience teaching students from Early Intervention through to Higher School Certificate level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, evaluate, and mentor a team of Itinerant Support Teachers Hearing
  • Manage the administrative requirements for the itinerant role
  • Work with families, schools, and external agencies to build strong relationships and promote positive outcomes for students
  • Deliver specific professional learning to the Itinerant Support Teacher Hearing team and school staff
Requirements
  • Approval to teach Hearing Impairment (Itinerant)
  • Expertise in or willingness to train in Auslan and assistive communication systems
  • Demonstrated experience teaching students from Early Intervention through to Higher School Certificate level
  • Ability to lead, supervise, evaluate, and mentor a team of Itinerant Support Teachers Hearing
  • Proven experience in working with families, schools, and external agencies
