About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Art Director to join our Coles Lifestyle content team at News Corp Australia. As an Art Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end creative direction and delivery of the Coles Health & Beauty magazine, as well as assisting in image direction for digital content.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong and cohesive lifestyle brand identity.
  • Oversee the creation of brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all content.
  • Manage the production of all shoots and design for the quarterly magazine, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Provide image selections for digital only content.
  • Collaborate closely with Coles Brand and marketing team to understand their vision and translate it into compelling creative strategies.
  • Present creative concepts and ideas to clients, incorporating feedback to refine and enhance visual solutions.
  • Streamline operational processes for efficiency in creative workflows.
  • Actively look for ways to improve efficiency, outcomes and efficacy.
  • Ensure projects and baseline scope is delivered on time and on budget.
Requirements
  • Deep experience in talent shoot direction, as well as beauty and hair photography.
  • Experience in lifestyle content and design.
  • Ability to work in a client-facing role and understand how to deliver on strategic business objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload in order to complete all tasks with maximum efficiency and to meet deadlines.
  • Thorough and methodical approach to work.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to take responsibility for own tasks and ensure progress is communicated to appropriate parties, internally and externally.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and offer to help where possible in an effort to achieve common goals.
  • Desire to exceed client expectations.
