Pathology Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled pathology assistant to contribute to the production of high-quality work and ongoing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specimen handling and data entry
  • Laboratory investigations
  • Organising medical decision making (MDM)
  • Assisting pathologists and senior staff, as well as external and internal clients
  • Mortuary duties
Requirements:
  • Victorian Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification
  • Desirable qualifications include certificates or diplomas in laboratory techniques or similar fields
  • Previous experience in diagnostic pathology laboratories is highly advantageous
  • Experience in administration and clerical work, specifically data entry, is beneficial
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills
