Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Services Engineer to join our team and contribute to the planning and coordination of building services for a new project located in Maroochydore.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Participating in the design management of building services (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire) to ensure that emerging documentation meets the required specification cost budgets and program for construction and installation.
  • Coordinating building services engineering consultants and subcontractors where appointed.
  • In conjunction with the Contracts Administrator identifying applicable cost savings and assisting with product selection and problem solving to achieve best value for money.
  • Reviewing all documentation for adequacy of design input.
  • Progressively monitoring the production of workshop drawings and as built documents.
  • Monitoring progress and quality of the construction and plant installation on site, ensuring compliance with quality control, engineering and safety requirements.
  • Participating in the handover and commissioning of the project including submission of final documentation, as built documents, authority approvals, warranties, training and guarantees.
Required Qualifications and Skills

The incumbent in this role will require:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in coordinating Mechanical and/or Electrical design, construction and installation activities on building projects.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and decision making skills.
